You can get 24-hour medical advice by ringing 1177, or visiting the website www.1177.se (in Swedish). During the day, you can also call your local health centre. All health centres in the county are open until 5.00 p.m. on weekdays.
Uppsala local emergency unit has a drop-in clinic every day from 7.00 a.m.-11.00 p.m. For advice and referrals, call 1177. For further information, call the information line (answer phone) on 018 6117906.
Uppsala home visit on-call service (hemläkarjour) provides emergency house calls to people living in Uppsala and Knivsta municipality. Priority is given to older people, the disabled, and families with young children. You can make a home visit appointment by calling 1177. Appointments can also be made via Uppsala hemläkarjour’s answer phone, on 018 240101.
