Dental treatment prices
The state has stipulated a reference price list with current national prices. Folktandvården in Uppsala county follows the reference price list. Here are a few examples of prices.
The prices given include the general dental care allowance, which came into effect on 1 July 2008. This means that everyone over the age of 20 receives a credit balance at the Social Insurance Office (Försäkringskassan), which can be used for part-payment for dental treatment.
The benefit varies depending on age, and you can save your benefit for a maximum of two years.

Dental care benefit – protection against high costs
The state has stipulated a reference price list with current national prices. Folktandvården in Uppsala county follows the reference price list.
For dental care up to SEK 3,000 according to the reference price list, adult patients pay the full price. However, the general dental care allowance may be used as part-payment.
For costs of SEK 3,001-15,000, you are entitled to a reimbursement of 50 percent via the dental care benefit.
Costs exceeding SEK 15,000 are reimbursed at 85 percent.
