Office of the Patients’ Advisory Committee
Do you have any questions or opinions about care and treatment at hospitals, doctor’s surgeries, dentist surgeries or other health centres that the county council or municipality has responsibility for? You should first contact the staff or manager at the place you were treated. If it is difficult to put your opinions across to the staff, or if you have questions that you would prefer to put to an independent party, then you can come to us.
What happens when you contact the Office of the Patients’ Advisory Committee?
When you approach the Office of the Patients’ Advisory Committee via letter, e-mail or telephone, you will be put in contact with an investigator. If you wish to take your case further, the investigator offers advice and tells you about the various options open to you, and what your entitlements are.
The Office of the Patients’ Advisory Committee does not take any action in your case without you prior approval. You can remain anonymous, and we are bound by an obligation of confidentiality.
